I have personally begun changing the strut and spring. I found the top bolt for the suspension arms had stuck over time. My mechanic suggested heating it up and flash cooling it which has worked but you will need new arms as the rubber either burns or the grease inside boils and bursts it open.
@@autodocuk Thank you so much for commenting. I want to know how to replace the engine mount. I know I need to exchange four mounts, but I don't know how. FYI, I can use the lift to work on the floor. Best regards,
1) torque settings settings, the Audi manual says 45nm for the 2 upper arms bolts 2) Audi manual says you shouldn’t use a chisel to enlarge to gap to get the ball join out 3) pinch bolt should be tighten at about ride height level (90deg +/- 5 deg). Once again from the Audi manual
Torque settings are wrong. Snapped two bolts trying your numbers - overall video was still very helpful even if i did have to extract a bolt from the rear and replace a pinch bolt. It's always hard to say if the bolt may have been previously over-tightened and now it snapped.

The entire assembly is aluminium and corrodes over time. These pinch bolts are a nightmare. I speak from experience
